LA LUZ magazine

La Luz is a bi-monthly English-language magazine, laluz covers the towns and villages of the Costa de la Luz, extending from Tarifa to El Puerto de Santa Maria, and inland to Jerez and its environs.

Laluz is the indispensable guide to life in the southwest corner of Andalucia. A bi-monthly English-language magazine, it covers the towns and villages of the Costa de la Luz, extending from Tarifa to El Puerto de Santa Maria and Sanlucar de Barrameda, and inland to Jerez, Arcos and the pueblos blancos of the Sierra.

The purpose of laluz is to inform and inspire English-speaking visitors and settlers in the area. It also aims to be inclusive of the local and visiting Spanish community. So we might interview a prominent personality connected with the area, or take a look at the lives of ordinary people living and working here. But there's also plenty of ideas for travel, day trips and where to eat and drink, together with a comprehensive listing of forthcoming events.

Each issue offers an in-depth exploration of a theme - from flamenco to olive oil, from the comic madness of carnival to the debate over wind energy - as well as relevant local news. A focus on a real-life experience of a settler in the area and an interiors feature offer glimpses behind closed doors. Golf course reviews, a nature column, gardening and advice from financial and legal experts are also included.
